How do you tell the difference between two isomers that have the same
molecular formula? I know it has to do with which groups (like OH
groups) are placed in connection with others, but how do you recognize
the difference. The problem was finding the third isomer with the
molecular formula the same as propyl and isopropyl alcohol. I don't want
the question answered for me, I just want to know how to recognize them.
thanks
