Hello to all aspiring chemists,
To anyone among the learning groups who are unsure about what
exactly a heteroatom is, I will clarify. A heteroatom is any atom
within a structure that contains both bonding and non-bonding electrons.
Therefore, in this particular with the chapter two learning group
problem, the oxygen and nitrogen atoms can exist as heteroatoms within
the desired structure. Please avoid bonding these two heteroatoms
together when considering possible structures for your problem.

Happy structuring,
Dan Casmier
