tocj:electronegativity and acid strength

On page 102-103 it seems like there is a contradiction. Pg 102 shows the
acidity increaseng as one goes down the group. This is because the
electronegativity decreases as you go down the group. Then on page 103 it
says that a stronger acid will have greater electronegativity. How come
then h-f would not produce the strongest acid because it would have the
most electronegative atom?
