A couple of hints to people who are having difficulties with the
acid base concept: Acidity INCREASES going down a group because of 3
(princible) things: Increased atomic radii, Increased bond length and
Decreased bond strength. While it increases going from Left to Right
because of the electronegativity. Also, when trying to determine the
strength of one acid/ base to another, always look at the conjugate acid/
base of what you're examining.
OK, HERE'S A QUESTION: GIVEN THAT LIKE DISSOLVES LIKE; DOES THIS
MEAN THAT POLAR BEARS ARE MISCIBLE IN WATER??
