acid strength?

It seems to me that acid strength with the halides are inversely related
to electronegativiety, i.e HI is a stronger acid than HF, but HF has a
stronger bond since F is more electronegative than I. Then why is it in
more complex acids the strenth of the acid is based on the positive
charge on the H, due to the inductive effect of the central atom. If
this is true then doesnt it seem that the rules contradict each other, of
