I noticed this when I was doing the problem too. I think the way they
have it in the soln. manual (as (2R,4S)) is the same molecule as the one
you thought it was--they just started numbering from the opposite end of
the molecule. You can check this by drawing out your (2S,4R) molecule and
comparing it to the one given in the answer--they're both the same...or
at least I'm pretty sure they are. =)
