Hello everyone (again),
I have another curious question for all of you smart people! On
page 538, at the very top of the Solomon's text, it says: "These
absorptions occur at wavelengths that are out of the range of operation of
most visible-ultraviolet spectrometers because they occur where the
oxygen in air also absorbs."
What does the text mean by the last part about the oxygen? I have
an idea but I wanted to make sure I was understanding this correctly.
