Benzyl and phenyl

A phenol is a (C6H5) phenyl with an OH group attached directly to the
phenly ring. Then, is a benzyl a phenyl with a Ch2 group attached to it.
If this is the case then what would a (C6H5)-CH2CH2OH be called and why?
