cattersk,

Their will be one more peak in the multiplet than there are hydrogens on
the adjacent carbon CH3-CH3 would produce 4 peaks as it is one more than
the adjacent carbon in a situation like:

CH3-CH-R
|
CH3
I believe it would produce a 7 peak multiplet, however I am
not quite as sure on this one.
