Jason,
An alcohol has a higher boiling point than an aldehyde because
there is a hydrogen connected to a highly electronegative atom (oxygen)
that is eligible for hydrogen bonding. The aldehyde, on the other hand,
does not have a hydrogen connected to a highly electronegative atom. Hope
this clears the air.
