hello all!! i just have a quick question: i dont know why i am having
trouble with this but i dont quite understand the difference between
phenols and benzyls. i understand that phenols have an -oh group attached
but then on problem 11.6 it asks about phenyllithium and i drew a
structure with an -oh group on one side and a -li on the other. the answer
book just had a -li attached to the ring. does anyone understand where i
am getting confused?? please help!! thanks!
