Chiral means that an object's mirror image can not be supperposed
on the object casting the image. It is refered to as handedness because
if you look at your hands, both palms facing you and try to put one on top
of the other (without turing one over) you will see that they can not be
superposed. See page 181 for more expanation if you need more.
