Chiral Centers/Stereocenters

Greetings. Here is a point of clarification. Many people and books
(including the Pavia lab text) use the term "chiral center" (pronounced
"kirul") for what we call a stereocenter. The term "stereocenter" is the
preferred IUPAC designation. I hope this clears up any confusion about
wording used in the lab text.
