Students will develop a repertoire of synthetic methodology and a general understanding of a variety of organic reaction mechanisms. Topics may include, for example, synthetic organic strategies and design, the analysis of classic and recent total syntheses from the literature, and advanced applications of instrumentation in organic chemistry.
