This Email List is an electronic mail discussion group for the PLU Chemistry Club. Anyone actively participating is invited to participate in this electronic forum. This forum is sponsored by the Chemistry Department of Pacific Lutheran University.

Using the chemclub Email List:
Sending email to the list itself:
To send email to the entire chemclub list, send your email message from your normal email account/computer to the email address: "chemclub@rainier.chem.plu.edu"
Sending email to the list processor:
All email list organizational details are handled by sending email directly to the list server not the list itself. The list server we are using is Majordomo. As a user of a list, the main functions you will be involved in are subscribing, and unsubscribing. The subject line is always ignored by Majordomo for requests of action, e.g., subscribe.
TO SUBSCRIBE:
To subscribe, send the following message from your normal email account/computer to the email address: "majordomo@rainier.chem.plu.edu"

The subject line is ignored. Your request should normally be processed in a very short time, 1-5 minutes.
You will be required to confirm your subscription by replying to an automatically generated message. This procedure helps insure that people are not subscribed without their knowledge.

To unsubscribe, send the following message from your normal email account/computer to the email address: "majordomo@rainier.chem.plu.edu"

Do not send subscribe or unsubscribe messages to the
chemclub Email LIST rather send them to the LIST SERVER:
majordomo@rainier.chem.plu.edu
This is a frequent problem when starting to use email lists.
