Email list used for ECCRUS

ECCRUS uses a companion email list for discussions relating to the conference. The email list for CIRRUS will be used for this conference. The discussions on this list can range from questions on the preparation of your papers in html to discussions of particular research during the conference. The CIRRUS email list also serves as a general resource for undergraduate chemical research.

Sending email to the list itself:

To send email to the entire CIRRUS list, send your email message from your normal email account/computer to the email address: "cirrus@rainier.chem.plu.edu"

Sending email to the list processor:

All email list organizational details are handled by sending email directly to the list server not the list itself. The list server we are using is List Processor 7.2, a product of CREN (Corporation for Research and Educational Networking). As a user of a list, the main functions you will be involved in are subscribing, unsubscribing, and changing your subscription configuration. The suject line is always ignored by ListProc.

TO SUBSCRIBE:

To subscribe, send the following message from your normal email account/computer to the email address: "listproc@rainier.chem.plu.edu" 

              subscribe cirrus FirstName LastName

The subject line is ignored. Your request should normally be processed in a very short time, 1-5 minutes.
